Grants and Residency Manager Position
General Details
Part-time: up to 12 hours/week
Compensation: $35-40/hour (pending experience)
Some domestic travel may be required.
Position Summary
The Grants and Residencies Manager is a key member of the kosoko performance studio (kps) team, responsible for overseeing the organization’s grant applications, reporting processes, and the logistics of residencies and engagements. This role ensures seamless coordination of domestic residencies, effective communication with funding partners, and timely completion of grant deliverables.
The position involves managing application workflows, tracking deadlines, supporting grant reporting, and coordinating residency logistics. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, self-directed, and has a strong understanding of the performing arts landscape both in the U.S. and internationally. Proficiency in tools like Google Docs, Dropbox, and Asana is essential, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems as needed.
Tasks/Responsibilities:
Grants & Residencies Management
Research and identify grant and residency opportunities aligned with kps’s mission and goals.
Prepare, submit, and track grant and residency applications, ensuring deadlines and requirements are met.
Assist in drafting compelling narratives, budgets, and supplemental materials for grant and residency proposals.
Develop and maintain a grants and residencies calendar, tracking submission deadlines, reporting schedules, and funding cycles.
Support the preparation of grant reports, impact assessments, and compliance documents for funders.
Donor Relations & Fundraising
Support the development of fundraising and crowdfunding strategies, including annual appeals and campaign planning.
Cultivate relationships with donors and funding organizations through regular communication and acknowledgment strategies.
Assist with donor stewardship efforts, ensuring timely thank-you notes, reports, and updates.
Additional Responsibilities
Maintain organizational tools, including the events calendar, grant tracking systems, and centralized file management.
Proofread and edit written materials as needed to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Monitor and manage internal workflows to meet deadlines and maintain operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Proven experience in grants management, fundraising, arts administration, or a related field.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail.
Knowledge of the performing arts landscape in the U.S. and internationally.
Ability to work independently while maintaining clear and consistent communication with the team.
Proficiency in tools such as Google Docs, Dropbox, Asana, and Squarespace.
